Irkutsk has assembled the largest centrifugal concentrator in the world
The unique equipment was presented to Georgy Kuzmin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region, during a visit to the production site of the Service Technoprom company.
As Nikita Kiselyov, the company's CEO, explained, the device is designed to extract gold, platinum and other valuable metals during the processing of ores from indigenous deposits. The capacity of the concentrator, created at the Irkutsk plant, is up to 1,000 tons per hour. There are less than a dozen similar devices in the world, and in Russia they are not produced at all by anyone except the Irkutsk company.
- When foreign manufacturers left the Russian market, it became necessary to develop their own analogues. Our company produces such equipment, fully import-substituted, as well as parts for foreign analogues. This particular copy has fully passed bench tests and preliminary acceptance from the customer, and next week it will go to the Magadan region for industrial testing," said Nikita Kiselyov.
When designing the STP-CC175, the specifics of its transportation were taken into account, in particular in off-road conditions in very remote areas, therefore, the chute, upper and lower frames, as well as the hub cover are divided into separate sections, which allows it to be transported in standard containers.
- The company's products are in demand. Such equipment is especially important for the Irkutsk region, because our region is the first in the country in terms of gold reserves and is one of the five leaders in production. And there is still the development of the world's largest Sukhoi Log deposit ahead. Such projects make it possible to reduce import dependence and ensure the dynamic socio-economic development of the region and the country," said Georgy Kuzmin.
The Deputy Chairman also noted that the TechnOprom Service projects are an example of the company's well-coordinated and long-term work with the regional government and scientific and educational institutions of the Angara region. The company is an active recipient of various government support measures. In 2024, the company was approved a preferential loan in the amount of 13 million rubles from the Industrial Development Fund of the Irkutsk Region. The funds received helped modernize production. In the same year, Service Technoprom became a participant in the federal project "Labor Productivity", which later became part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". As a result, the company managed to increase the planned production of hubs to 28 units per year and reduce assembly time by 37 percent.
But the company produces not only concentrators, but also innovative high-tech intensive cyanidation modules. The company has its own design department and an experienced service team, and the development of new equipment models is carried out with the involvement of leading scientists from Irkutsk National Research Technical University and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Intensive cyanidation modules are designed for rapid extraction of gold and other valuable metals from gravity concentrates before direct melting into an ingot. There are also no analogues of this equipment in Russia. Thus, Service Technoprom is able to completely replace the products of Western companies that have left the market in this segment.
